Hi, my name is Jules.

I am a self-taught artist born in Sacramento, California and currently living in San Francisco. My journey into art began as an unexpected form of therapy during the pandemic. In March 2020, I moved to Valdez, Alaska, for a two-month job, only to find myself isolated in a place I didn’t know. During this challenging time, I turned to art as a way to cope, heal, and find purpose.

My first avenue into creativity involved woodworking with local materials and burning intricate animal designs into the wood. Soon after, while camping alone in Homer, Alaska, I picked up a pen and paper and sketched a humpback whale. That moment sparked a passion for pointillism, using dots to bring my drawings to life. Throughout the pandemic, art became my refuge, and when I later moved to San Francisco, I decided to share my creations with the world.

One pivotal piece in my journey was the creation of Jones Bones, my skeleton fairy. It began as an exploration of the human's most raw form and came alive when I added his cape. To me, Jones Bones symbolizes the courage to take risks, the rewards of creativity, and the limitless places one can go when unburdened by fear.
